Shariq is a research fellow at the CVRC, MGH in Dr. Gregory Wyant’s Lab. Shariq received his PhD from IBU, Aligarh Muslim University, India. He received his postdoctoral training on studying novel ligands for nuclear receptors with Prof. A T Slominski, UAB. His work in Dr. Wyant’s lab is to understand muscle atrophy related mechanisms and to identify novel therapeutic targets for muscle atrophy related diseases, such as heart failure, starvation, muscle degeneration.
